Wade watkins
Chief Exploration Officer - "GlobalOkie"
Originally from Ada, Oklahoma, Wade followed in his parents' footsteps and attended Oklahoma State University. Armed with a degree in international studies and several study and work abroad experiences under his belt, Wade became the Asia Manager for an Oklahoma equipment manufacturer and traveled Asia 50% of his time. He left to create an international trade consulting company selling everything from beef jerky to anti-terrorism equipment. Wade then departed the private sector to become a classroom educator for a couple of years (or so he thought). After serving as a high school teacher in southern Oklahoma and as Director of International Development for his alma mater (OSU), Wade completed his graduate studies at the University of Antwerp in Belgium and spent a semester circumnavigating the world on a ship with 700 college students. In 2004, Wade began what would become a 19 year career with Northern Oklahoma College as a world geography professor and Dean of Global Education. In 2023 he left NOC to launch GlobalOkie Travel in hopes of provding more people with unique travel experiences and a lifetime of memories.
